The Cardinals fleeced the room on the phones and earned a B. Nobody else had Shaun Dolac anywhere near the Round 5 slot. The Cardinals did, by 196 spots, and that gap is the whole story. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
They banked enough surplus on Johnson to cover a lot of smaller sins. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.
The Cardinals clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before. The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
