Draft Grade — Cardinals
Overall B
ValueA- NeedB TradesC+ FutureB
Best value of the weekend goes to the Cardinals for Farmer: B.

Somebody in slot 152 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Cardinals sat still while Joshua Farmer, the No. 117 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

They trusted the board more than the depth chart.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick16 Rnd1 Will Johnson
In Round 1, Pick 16 they get a sticky cover corner, and a steal at that. Need was not the driver here.
Pick51 Rnd2 Josh Conerly Jr.
Josh Conerly Jr. at No. 51 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick78 Rnd3 Elic Ayomanor
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Elic Ayomanor in pick 78, plain and simple. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick115 Rnd4 Anthony Belton
They took Anthony Belton at par in the 115th overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick152 Rnd5 Joshua Farmer
Somehow Joshua Farmer was still sitting there in the Round 5 slot, and they pounced on premier interior defensive lineman value. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick208 Rnd6 Jack Nelson
Steal is underselling it; Jack Nelson at pick No. 208 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick225 Rnd7 Karene Reid
They will replay Karene Reid at slot 225 for years; that is how good the value is. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
