Draft Grade — Cardinals
Overall D
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesF FutureB-
The Cardinals answered their biggest question with Daniels. Grade: D.

The Eyabi Okie-Anoma pick is the one that will follow the Cardinals into the fall. They took him 32 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so.

Whatever Jayden Daniels becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up.

That is a cornerback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.

Pick Analysis
Pick4 Rnd1 Jayden Daniels
In Round 1, Pick 4 they get their guy under center for the next decade. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick5 Rnd1 Malik Nabers
In No. 5 they get a home-run threat at receiver at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick27 Rnd1 Tyler Guyton
In pick 27 they get protection for the quarterback. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick35 Rnd2 Kamari Lassiter
Kamari Lassiter in the 35th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick66 Rnd3 Payton Wilson
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Payton Wilson at pick No. 66 is the proof. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick71 Rnd3 Brandon Dorlus
Brandon Dorlus at slot 71 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick90 Rnd3 Gabriel Murphy
They paid sticker price for Gabriel Murphy in slot 90, and that is fine. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick138 Rnd5 Isaiah Adams
By-the-book stuff, Isaiah Adams at pick No. 138 squarely in line with his ranking. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick162 Rnd5 Javion Cohen
Javion Cohen at Round 5, Pick 26 is a conviction pick that outran the value. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick181 Rnd6 Justin Rogers
The board had cheaper options than Justin Rogers at the 181st overall pick, and it noticed. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick186 Rnd6 Jha'Quan Jackson
Jha'Quan Jackson in the 186th pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick225 Rnd7 Keaton Bills
They went early on Keaton Bills in the Round 7 slot, and the value did not follow. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick226 Rnd7 M.J. Devonshire
They will replay M.J. Devonshire at pick 226 for years; that is how good the value is. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Pick243 Rnd7 Tayvion Robinson
A slide stopped in No. 243, with Tayvion Robinson worth more than the price. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick253 Rnd7 Eyabi Okie-Anoma
This one needs a full-page explanation: Eyabi Okie-Anoma in the Round 7 slot, miles early. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
