Draft Grade — Cardinals

FutureB-
The Cardinals lost the trade table, and the D- tells the story. The trade table was where it all came apart. The Cardinals shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.
Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it. Joe Milton III gives the group a proven body among the projects.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and quarterback is still a hole.
Pick Analysis
Pick6
Rnd1
Will Campbell
In No. 6 they get a blindside protector. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick8
Rnd1
Kelvin Banks Jr.
In slot 8 they get a long-term starter on the line at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick13
Rnd1
Harold Perkins Jr.
In the Round 1 slot they get a coverage-and-run second-level piece. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick37
Rnd2
Kenneth Grant
A clean, defensible pick in Round 2, Pick 5 with a little surplus value in Kenneth Grant. A need, and now a little less of one.
