The real work happened on the phones. The Cardinals fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with.

They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. On value alone, McMillan makes the weekend a net positive.

The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

In the end it comes back to Bralen Trice, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
