When a board-topper like Jaylin Simpson slides to the 207th overall pick, you do not overthink it, and the Lions did not.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The back end got a real overhaul.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
