The real work happened on the phones. The Bears fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. Add it all up and it grades out a clean A-.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Legette. The cost of the Robinson reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The Bears paired the rookies with proven help, Emmanuel Forbes leading the way.

In the end it comes back to Bralen Trice, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
