If you want a masterclass in dealing, watch the Bears, who turned every swap into a profit this weekend.

They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Smith pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with running back and linebacker still on the board. That Fisher pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

The veteran additions, Calvin Ridley chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

In the end it comes back to Cooper DeJean, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
