The board owed the Steelers one, and it paid up: Kurtis Rourke, the No. 135 name on the board, sitting there at No. 183 like a gift left on the doorstep. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Simpkins III has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
