You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Commanders did exactly that with Phillip Webb in the 205th overall pick.

Getting Wilson where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
