The Commanders won the night they stopped Colson from sliding. Grade: B.

Somebody in the 78th pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Commanders sat still while Junior Colson, the No. 52 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

Leaving offensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They are betting Travis proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The Colson pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with offensive lineman, edge rusher and other spots still on the board.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
