Whoever sat across the table from the Commanders should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

Hancock at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The wide receiver hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Adding Denzel Ward by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.
