Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Trey Amos got past him. The Commanders do not have to explain a thing at Round 7, Pick 29.

Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Bottom line, with Josaiah Stewart leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
