Nobody had Jared Wiley this high, and it is not close. The Bengals reached 54 spots to get him at the 238th pick. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

The Smith pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at interior defensive lineman and quarterback. On value alone, Coleman makes the weekend a net positive. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.

They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
