Draft Grade — Titans
Overall B+
ValueC NeedB TradesA+ FutureA
Larceny in the Round 7 slot lands the Titans a B+, Pearsall and all.

You could see the war room lean forward. Ricky Pearsall at the Round 7 slot is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They are betting Powers-Johnson proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The Titans clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick24 Rnd1 Terrion Arnold
In slot 24 they get an island corner. Need was not the driver here.
Pick41 Rnd2 Javon Foster
They jumped the gun on Javon Foster, taking him earlier than his grade liked. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick50 Rnd2 Byron Murphy II
Byron Murphy II at the Round 2 slot is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick56 Rnd2 Jackson Powers-Johnson
Jackson Powers-Johnson in the 56th overall pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick122 Rnd4 Theo Wease
A premium they did not need to pay, Theo Wease a notch or two before his time. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick146 Rnd5 Payton Wilson
Payton Wilson at pick 146 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick155 Rnd5 Ben Sinnott
A straight-up fair deal on Ben Sinnott at pick No. 155, value and slot in agreement. The roster fit checks out.
Pick159 Rnd5 Ainias Smith
They paid sticker price for Ainias Smith in No. 159, and that is fine. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick187 Rnd6 Jaylin Simpson
Jaylin Simpson at pick No. 187 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick230 Rnd7 Ricky Pearsall
Steal is underselling it; Ricky Pearsall at Round 7, Pick 10 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick243 Rnd7 Xavier Restrepo
Xavier Restrepo at the 243rd overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A need, and now a little less of one.
