MarbioKing3732 DRAFTING FOR THECardinals

Draft Grade — Cardinals

FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Cardinals, and a B- to prove it. You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Cardinals did exactly that with Brady Cook in the 152nd overall pick. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.
If one pick saves this weekend, it is Ezeiruaku. That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes.
The back end got a real overhaul.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick16
Rnd1
Shavon Revel Jr.
In the 16th pick they get a lockdown presence outside. More want than need.
Pick47
Rnd2
Shemar Stewart
They took Shemar Stewart at par in the 47th overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. The roster fit checks out.
Pick78
Rnd3
Jack Nelson
A real head-scratcher, Jack Nelson in pick No. 78 is miles ahead of his ranking. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick114
Rnd4
Donovan Ezeiruaku
The board fumbled Donovan Ezeiruaku all the way to pick 114, and they scooped it up. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick152
Rnd5
Brady Cook
They left a pile of value on the table to take Brady Cook this early at slot 152. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
