Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B
ValueB+ NeedB TradesD FutureA+
Best value of the weekend goes to the Seahawks for Belton: B.

The Seahawks spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Anthony Belton, the No. 115 name on the board, in the Round 5 slot. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Every board in the league had Slater lower, and that gap is the story.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick51 Rnd2 Jihaad Campbell
The board had Jihaad Campbell higher than the Round 2 slot, and the linebacker fell to them anyway. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick52 Rnd2 JT Tuimoloau
JT Tuimoloau in the 52nd overall pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick59 Rnd2 Marcus Mbow
Marcus Mbow in the 59th pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick82 Rnd3 Deone Walker
Taking Deone Walker in No. 82 is close to grand larceny; an interior defensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick92 Rnd3 Isaiah Bond
Isaiah Bond at slot 92 is money in the bank, a wide receiver taken below his worth. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick122 Rnd4 Jalen Milroe
Jalen Milroe at pick No. 122 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick129 Rnd4 Jake Majors
The board fumbled Jake Majors all the way to pick 129, and they scooped it up. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick136 Rnd4 Malachi Moore
Malachi Moore at Round 4, Pick 34 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick137 Rnd4 Jackson Slater
They went early on Jackson Slater in the 137th pick, and the value did not follow. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick170 Rnd5 Anthony Belton
Anthony Belton in pick 170 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick175 Rnd5 Pat Bryant
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Pat Bryant in the Round 5 slot, plain and simple. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick197 Rnd6 Clay Webb
Nice patience on Clay Webb, who had no business lasting to Round 6, Pick 21. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick223 Rnd7 Cam Horsley
They paid sticker price for Cam Horsley in pick No. 223, and that is fine. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick234 Rnd7 Jason Marshall Jr.
A cornerback of that caliber at slot 234 is the definition of value, full stop. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick245 Rnd7 Donovan Smith
Donovan Smith at No. 245 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
