The Lions got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D.

Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Lions, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D is the result.

They punted on safety, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They banked enough surplus on Grable to cover a lot of smaller sins.

The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not. On the needs board they went 5 of 9, with cornerback the one that mattered most.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and safety is still a hole.
