Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Steelers were there to profit. Raheim Sanders, the No. 143 name on the board, should have been long gone before the Round 7 slot. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

Reaching for Slackman left real value on the table behind him. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Interior defensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
