Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Lions spent slot 230 on Jamaree Caldwell, a name the board had a full 67 spots lower.

The Walker value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend.

The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The veteran additions, Myles Garrett chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
