The Bears did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Tory Horton fell into slot 182.

So much rides on Drake Maye that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

The Derwin James Jr. pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

In the end it comes back to Drake Maye, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
