The Bears put a flag in the ground for Trajan Jeffcoat, 50 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. Whatever Caleb Williams becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Landing Newton that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and interior defensive lineman is still a hole.
