Grand theft in pick 42: the Lions steal Grant and grade out a B-.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Lions were there to profit. Kenneth Grant, the No. 21 name on the board, should have been long gone before Round 2, Pick 10. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

Reaching for Simpkins III left real value on the table behind him. A whole weekend of picks and safety is somehow still a want.

Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
