The Commanders won the night they stopped Emmanwori from sliding. Grade: B.

You build a draft on nights like this. Nick Emmanwori had no business being available in Round 2, Pick 29, and the Commanders did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

They will regret leaving tight end for another day if the season turns on it. They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball. Their trades came out a wash either way.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
