Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Sawyer Robertson got past him. The Dolphins do not have to explain a thing at the 227th overall pick.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. Every board in the league had Mateer lower, and that gap is the story. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with quarterback the one that mattered most.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
