The Browns answered their biggest question with Ward. Grade: D.

The John Emery Jr. pick is the one that will follow the Browns into the fall. They took him 169 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so. The math is unkind, and the D follows.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. The whole projection now runs through Cam Ward; hit there and everything else looks smarter.

The Cornelius steal is the beam this whole class leans on. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
