The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Bears watched Grayson Murphy slide 59 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

Whatever Caleb Williams becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. A whole weekend of picks and linebacker is somehow still a want.

Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
