The 49ers did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Devin Neal fell into the 139th overall pick. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

They are betting Griffith proves the room right and everyone else wrong. That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
