Nix is the Broncos' new face under center. Grade: D.

You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Broncos did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high. Hard to defend, and the D reflects that.

They have staked the next five years on Bo Nix, which is the only story that really matters here. The linebacker spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

The Broncos indulged a want in Melton while a need in linebacker, interior defensive lineman and other spots stayed open. The Fuaga steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, linebacker very much included.
