Major27 DRAFTING FOR THECardinals
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Cardinals
Overall
B

FutureB-
The Cardinals robbed the room for Walker. Final grade: B. When a board-topper like Jalon Walker slides to No. 47, you do not overthink it, and the Cardinals did not. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Mills has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick Analysis
Pick16
Rnd1
Will Campbell
In the Round 1 slot they get a long-term starter on the line at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick47
Rnd2
Jalon Walker
Steal is underselling it; Jalon Walker at pick 47 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick78
Rnd3
Azareye'h Thomas
Azareye'h Thomas in pick No. 78 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick115
Rnd4
Rylie Mills
This one needs a full-page explanation: Rylie Mills in the 115th overall pick, miles early. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick152
Rnd5
Ben Sauls
By-the-book stuff, Ben Sauls at the 152nd pick squarely in line with his ranking. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
