Draft Grade — Falcons
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesA+ FutureD
The Falcons won the weekend at the trade table. Grade: B-.

Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Falcons came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

If Turner pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. However the rest shakes out, Williams at that price is a win they earned. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.

Pick Analysis
Pick8 Rnd1 Dallas Turner
In pick No. 8 they get a quarterback's worst nightmare. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick43 Rnd2 Xavier Worthy
Xavier Worthy at the Round 2 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick109 Rnd4 Shemar Turner
They talked themselves into Shemar Turner at No. 109, and the board did not agree. The roster fit checks out.
Pick145 Rnd5 James Williams
James Williams at pick 145 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick189 Rnd6 Roger Rosengarten
Roger Rosengarten in the 189th pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick205 Rnd6 Fentrell Cypress II
A big swing on Fentrell Cypress II at Round 6, Pick 30, well ahead of any board in the building. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick248 Rnd7 Troy Omeire
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Troy Omeire well ahead of where he belonged. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
