Nobody dealt better than the Lions this weekend: B+.

The trade table was a mismatch, and the Lions were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

The Whittington pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. They punted on linebacker, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Mahogany at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but linebacker.
