The Lions went off the board in a big way for Jordan Marshall, 38 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. The Lions clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

Johnson at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
