Draft Grade — Bears
Overall

FutureB-
The Bears left with their quarterback, and a D- to match. The Bears lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again.
The whole projection now runs through Caleb Williams; hit there and everything else looks smarter. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.
Van Pran has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. However the rest shakes out, Corley at that price is a win they earned.
It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
Pick Analysis
Pick1
Rnd1
Caleb Williams
In pick No. 1 they get a long-term answer under center. A real need, handled.
Pick9
Rnd1
Rome Odunze
In slot 9 they get a No. 1 receiver at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick26
Rnd1
JC Latham
In pick 26 they get a building block for the line, and a steal at that. A real need, handled.
Pick75
Rnd3
Sedrick Van Pran
They jumped the gun on Sedrick Van Pran, taking him earlier than his grade liked. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick110
Rnd4
Malachi Corley
Circle this one: Malachi Corley at No. 110 is a fall that decides a draft. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick122
Rnd4
Sataoa Laumea
Sataoa Laumea at the 122nd overall pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A need, and now a little less of one.
