Start where it matters. The Cowboys took J.J. McCarthy to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. They will need McCarthy to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
