The Seahawks did not so much draft Akheem Mesidor as overpay for him, 98 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. Hard to defend, and the D- reflects that.

However the rest shakes out, Mondon Jr. at that price is a win they earned. The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.

It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
