The Texans won the night they stopped Watts from sliding. Grade: B.

It is a puzzling start. The Texans had edge rusher, quarterback and other spots to solve and reached instead for Cade Stover, a TE-EDGE, at pick 86. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Watts.

The cost of the Sweat reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
