The search is over. The Bears handed the keys to Caleb Williams, and the whole operation now runs on his development.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Mims. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.

With edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
