Somebody in Round 3, Pick 19 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Steelers sat still while Kaleb Johnson, the No. 48 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

The cost of the Williams reach is exactly the players who went right after him. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Ivan Pace Jr. gives the group a proven body among the projects.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
