The search is over. The Patriots handed the keys to Michael Penix Jr., and the whole operation now runs on his development. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. The Melton pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. Every board in the league had Eichenberg lower, and that gap is the story.

A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.
