The Saints robbed the room for Watson. Final grade: D-.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Saints shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D- is the result.

Spending an early pick on TE-EDGE with cornerback, quarterback and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Watson steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

The cost of the Beebe reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and cornerback is still a hole.
