Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B-

The steal of the weekend belongs to the Seahawks and Warren: B-.

You build a draft on nights like this. Tyler Warren had no business being available in slot 50, and the Seahawks did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

Every board in the league had Robinson lower, and that gap is the story. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick18 Rnd1 Matthew Golden
In pick No. 18 they get a home-run threat at receiver. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick50 Rnd2 Tyler Warren
Circle this one: Tyler Warren at pick 50 is a fall that decides a draft. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick52 Rnd2 Tate Ratledge
Tate Ratledge at the 52nd overall pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick82 Rnd3 Jared Wilson
They left a pile of value on the table to take Jared Wilson this early at the 82nd pick. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick92 Rnd3 Savion Williams
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Savion Williams. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick137 Rnd4 Ty Robinson
This one needs a full-page explanation: Ty Robinson in the Round 4 slot, miles early. The roster fit checks out.
Pick172 Rnd5 Chase Lundt
Good price on Chase Lundt in Round 5, Pick 34, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick175 Rnd5 Jack Kiser
Jack Kiser at slot 175 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick223 Rnd7 Jermari Harris
They took Jermari Harris at par in the Round 7 slot, which is nothing to complain about. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick234 Rnd7 Desmond Watson
They did well to land Desmond Watson in the 234th pick, just ahead of his grade. A need, and now a little less of one.
