Daniels is the plan now, and the Patriots grade out a B+.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Patriots spent their marquee pick on Jayden Daniels, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

However the rest shakes out, Phillips at that price is a win they earned. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. Every board in the league had Rosengarten lower, and that gap is the story.

The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
