Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Cowboys came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close.

The linebacker spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Simpson pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.
