The Patriots answered their biggest question with Williams. Grade: B.

Start where it matters. The Patriots took Caleb Williams to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one.

They banked enough surplus on Pearsall to cover a lot of smaller sins. A whole weekend of picks and safety is somehow still a want.

The Randolph Jr. pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
