Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
C

TradesF
FutureC+
The Seahawks lost the trade table, and the C tells the story. The Seahawks spent real capital to be 62 picks early on Haynes King, and the board is going to hold them to it. Call it a C and check back in two years.
Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The Slaughter pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. They punted on linebacker, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
It nets out as a middle-of-the-pack haul that neither helps nor hurts much.
Pick Analysis
Pick32
Rnd1
Olaivavega Ioane
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Olaivavega Ioane at the 32nd pick. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick64
Rnd2
Jake Slaughter
Jake Slaughter in pick No. 64 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick87
Rnd3
Devin Moore
Fair-plus on Devin Moore, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick96
Rnd3
Caden Curry
They went early on Caden Curry in pick 96, and the value did not follow. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick99
Rnd3
Bryce Lance
Bryce Lance at the 99th overall pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick211
Rnd6
Haynes King
This one needs a full-page explanation: Haynes King in Round 6, Pick 32, miles early. A need, and now a little less of one.
