Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall

FutureB-
The Seahawks let Ponds fall and pounced. Final grade: C. Call it larceny. D'Angelo Ponds sat on the board until slot 76, and the Seahawks did not need to be asked twice.
Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
In the end, a coin-flip class: fine today, with a wide range of outcomes ahead.
Pick Analysis
Pick32
Rnd1
Emmanuel Pregnon
In the 32nd overall pick they get a long-term starter on the line. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick64
Rnd2
Jake Slaughter
Jake Slaughter in Round 2, Pick 32 lands just on the right side of the ledger. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick76
Rnd3
D'Angelo Ponds
You do not let a cornerback like D'Angelo Ponds reach pick 76 and blink. They did not. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick96
Rnd3
Kaytron Allen
A market-rate running back, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Kaytron Allen. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick211
Rnd6
Ephesians Prysock
Taking Ephesians Prysock in pick No. 211 is close to grand larceny; a cornerback that good had no business lasting this long. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
