The Eagles let Mondon Jr. fall and pounced. Final grade: B.

When a board-topper like Smael Mondon Jr. slides to Round 5, Pick 23, you do not overthink it, and the Eagles did not. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. If Pegues pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
