The Broncos answered their biggest question with McCarthy. Grade: D.

The phones were a trap the Broncos kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. It grades a D, and the process earned it.

J.J. McCarthy gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. The Hunt reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Carson.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and interior defensive lineman is still a hole.
