Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B
ValueB NeedB TradesB- FutureB
The Seahawks robbed the room for Warren. Final grade: B.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Seahawks watched Tyler Warren slide 34 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

They will need Robinson to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Josh Conerly Jr.
In the 30th pick they get an anchor for the offensive line at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick50 Rnd2 Tyler Warren
A top-tier tight end at a bargain, Tyler Warren in the 50th overall pick, plain and simple. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick52 Rnd2 Nick Emmanwori
Nick Emmanwori at slot 52 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick56 Rnd2 Jaxson Dart
Jaxson Dart at pick 56 is money in the bank, a quarterback taken below his worth. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick82 Rnd3 Dylan Fairchild
Dylan Fairchild at No. 82 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick92 Rnd3 Jared Wilson
Jared Wilson at Round 3, Pick 28 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick137 Rnd4 Ty Robinson
Ty Robinson at pick No. 137 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It fills a real need, too.
Pick172 Rnd5 Chase Lundt
Good price on Chase Lundt in the Round 5 slot, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick175 Rnd5 Jack Kiser
Jack Kiser in No. 175 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick223 Rnd7 Luke Lachey
They will replay Luke Lachey at slot 223 for years; that is how good the value is. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick234 Rnd7 Kyle Monangai
Kyle Monangai at the 234th overall pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
